This charming log cabin accommodates up to six guests, making it the perfect getaway for families or groups of friends seeking an escape into nature. The calm setting guarantees peace and privacy, with just one other cottage dotting the lake’s edge. Imagine evenings spent on the newly built covered terrace, where the sunset casts a golden hue across the water, creating a picturesque backdrop for unforgettable moments.

The cabin boasts a spacious dock, perfect for soaking up the sun or delighting in the gentle lapping of the sandy beach that is well-suited for younger swimmers. The lake’s dark waters, characteristic of forest ponds, are remarkably clear and free from algae, providing a pristine swimming experience. Available for your use is a relaxing hot tub situated near the lakeshore, allowing you to unwind in nature while soaking in the serene surroundings. 

Within the cabin, you will discover a comfortable living area that includes a convertible sofa and traditional dining furniture, designed for shared meals and evening conversations. Adjacent to this cozy space is a small changing room and an authentic sauna, complete with a traditional stove fed by hand-pumped water for a true Finnish sauna experience. While you’ll need to bring drinking water in jugs, worry not—the property owner will provide this for you, ensuring a hassle-free stay. Firewood is included in your stay, ready to warm the cabin on cooler evenings, and a rustic outdoor toilet adds to the authentic charm of your woodland escape.

In addition to the cabin, a charming little cabin, or aitta, sits nearby, providing sleeping quarters for up to four additional guests. With room for six in total, you can gather your loved ones and enjoy a weekend full of adventure or relaxation. The garden features a separate grill hut equipped with a gas refrigerator, grill, and stove, making it easy to prepare and enjoy meals outdoors. All necessary dishware and cooking utensils are ready for you, ensuring you have everything needed for your culinary endeavors.

Though primarily available for summer stays, Pikku-Auninen welcomes guests well into the autumn months. Its inviting fireplace keeps the cabin warm, making it cozy even in cooler weather. Ideal for hunters and nature lovers alike, the surrounding areas offer excellent foraging opportunities for mushrooms and berries during the fall. Additionally, a rowboat is at your disposal for exploration on the water, along with some life jackets stored in the aitta for safety. Do note that the environment around the cabin is relatively dry, so purchasing bait for fishing is the easiest option.

Your peaceful escape begins at 4:00 PM on your arrival day and concludes at noon on departure day. At Pikku-Auninen, nature awaits to embrace you with open arms, offering a perfect blend of comfort and wilderness that will leave you rejuvenated and enchanted.
