The villa has a wood‑heated sauna with a traditional stove, two showers and two toilets, and the scent of heated wood complements the sauna ritual. For convenience there is a dishwasher and a washing machine, plus modern comforts such as air conditioning and fast fibre broadband.

Outdoor life centres on the terrace and grill area, with a boat available for short outings on the lake. The sheltered, shallow beach is suitable for small children and for easy entry to the water. Pets are welcome, making Ilotupa suitable for family holidays that include four‑legged companions.

Practical distances help with planning: the nearest small shop is about 10 km away and a larger supermarket around 50 km; Mikkeli is roughly 50 km and Helsinki about 190 km. The property is part of a long‑standing local farmstead that has hosted visitors since the late 1980s and is well suited for families, couples seeking quiet lakeside time, or small groups looking for a comfortable base in South Savo.
